The rallies

The first Mental Health Rally was held at Boston Common in June 2019 — a youth-led rally for mental health awareness that drew a crowd despite the rain, and was filmed by Brave New Films for a short documentary. The 2020 and 2021 rallies moved online during COVID, running through the month of May with virtual activities, education, and advocacy.

The story of the 2019 rally is told first-hand in Youth Taking Action: Sophrosyne and The Mental Health Rally on the blog. The mini-documentary is on our YouTube channel.

The 2021 announcement, as published

Preserved from the 2021 site.

The Third Annual Mental Health Rally will be held virtually throughout the month of May. We aim to have a similar feel that we did from the rally last year, full of virtual activities, education, and advocacy. But in addition to this, we will also have interactive opportunities, such as Sophrosyne Rally boxes that you can order with journals, merchandise, and ribbons — all that will help fund our organization's growth. We will also have more lives and Q+A opportunities.

Thank you,
— Sophrosyne Mental Health
